About the Project

This is an effort to keep the art of glassblowing "alive." As this dying art is laid victim to machine-blown glass, this is an attempt to preserve the DNA of current glassblowers in the case of a glasstastrophe.
To participate please send 1 clear, vacuum-sealed "sample"- an ornament will do, labeled and signed to the below address.
There are a few rules:
1)Ornament must be "blown" by the glassblower, please no assistant-blown ornaments.
2)"Ornament" must include a working "hook" or hanging mechanism.
3)"Ornament" must be between 2" x 2" x 2" to 4" x 4" x 4." No larger. No smaller.
4) Artist must sign ornament with engraver/diamond pen.
5) Must be vacuum sealed. (in order to prevent DNA contamination)
6)Include on Label: Full Name (first & last), D.O.B.,Date blown, years & months working in glass, contact information (e-mail, phone, mailing address)
7)Broken glass will not be accepted. Please pack appropriately.
8)You agree to be part of this project by participating.
